The Leaving Cert.
Those are the three scariest words in any normal Irish teenagers life, and 6th year just feels like on long waiting game for this climatic event. And for all those sitting the leaving in 2011, D-day is Wednesday the 8th of June and what is the first exam on this momentous day you might ask, well I’ll tell you its English Paper 1.
For some of the lucky ones (me) the leaving is a short lived event, lasting only a matter of days instead of the two and a half weeks (including the cramming weekends in between). But us lucky ones ain’t so lucky we have the most important exams of our lives crammed into a measly few days. No matter how long your exam timetable or how short, in the end the leaving will still happen and there ain’t nothing we can do to stop it. Oh, and for anyone else doing the dreaded leaving this year its only 120 days away or in other words 17 weeks left.
Okay apart from the leaving life is relatively fine. All I have time to do at the moment is study, procrastinate, eat, sleep, redo... But hey what else could I be doing? Possibly stressing like one of my friends, who I’m surprised hasn’t had an ulcer yet but hey there’s still time... But not really because that would just stress her more and when she’s stressing around you, you can’t help but catch it.
Anyhow, life at the moment is dull, apart from the occasional spat with my dad about absolutely nothing. Does any one else have that, like I mean fights about nothing?
Ah well it is what it is.
That’s about all I got seeping out of my mind at the moment, so before I stop this litany of my internal thoughts heres something random from my day.
My lunch the yummiest (probably unique to my taste buds) thing ever.
Smoked Salmon, Coleslaw, Balsamic Vinegar, Pepper and Chili flakes all mixed together.
And hey if any one thinks thats weird thats me.
